Prof. Regina Karl takes over directorship of the Center for European Studies!
Fall 2024
We will continue to hold talks, panels, and workshops that promise to shed new light on a rapidly changing Europe, through attention to its present, past, and future! Our events stretch across the subcontinent and beyond, indeed asking “what is Europe?” We continue our attention to forms of political participation and influence, from above and below, and questions of Europe in the world; as well as events concerning austerity, authoritarianism, and borders in the time of COVID; and racialization in Europe, past and present. We will continue offerings too particularly oriented toward those who are—and are thinking about becoming!--European Studies majors and minors. We look forward to your participation—and ideas!
