Leni & Joseph is a new play by Jacob Marx Rice, co-directed by Head of Acting Kevin Kittle and alumna Jasmine Carmichael. Performances run December 7th - December 15th. Tickets are free
The story - spanning 12 years (1933-1945) - traces the relationship of Leni Riefenstahl and Joseph Goebbels. By theatricalizing documented encounters and imagining clandestine meetings (out of contradicting personal accounts), the play pulses with the historical questions and global consequences that it illuminates.
